The Pokemon Direct has just ended and five games were announced to be coming this year.
First out of the gate was Pokken Tournament DX for Nintendo Switch, much like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, we get a previous Wii U game brought to the Switch. This version will include five additional characters, Darkrai, Scizor, Empoleon, Croagunk and Decidueye. They made it clear to say you will be able to experience 3v3 team battles, ranked matches and group matches in which you can invite friends online to come play as a group.
Pokken Tournament DX will be coming September 22nd, 2017.
Then it gets switched over to 3DS games in the works, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon coming November 17th, 2017. These titles offer a different story set in the same world as the previous games but will also feature Pokemon that weren’t present in Sun and Moon. No Pokemon Stars game announced for Nintendo Switch but we can remain hopeful.
Also coming this year to Nintendo 3DS this time in virtual console form is Pokemon Gold and Silver that originally released for GameBoy Color in 1999, the games will be released the same day as Pokken Tournament DX, September 22nd 2017.
